The Blue Mountains National Park covers a couple of million acres and is listed as a World Heritage National Park. Australia’s Grand Canyons are millions of years old and reveal spectacular scenery for nature lovers and tourist.
Depart by the Sydney Harbour Bridge, visit ,Featherdale Wildlife Park enjoy a close encounter with Australian native animals. Feed the kangaroos and wallabies, cuddle up close to a koala, see the wombats and Tasmanian Devils, visit the crocodile and other amazing occupants including a vast Australian native bird collection.
Travel along the Bells Line of Road. Pass through fertile farmland known as the "fruit bowl" and the historic early settlement town of Richmond and the Hawkesbury River. This is the land of the mountain apple and the northwestern passage, continue on to the World Heritage Blue Mountains National park.
Breathe in the invigorating scent of the Australian Eucalyptus, travel into the Burralow Creek National Park, a young river Canyon. The best ways to view the Australian bush is to walk amongst it. Enjoy expansive views over the surrounding wilderness of the Blue Mountains. Accessible only by 4WD and perfect for exclusive tour groups will reveal towering Eucalypts, Red Gums, Grass Trees and other varieties of Australian Flora. Enjoy the forest canopy with its Kookaburras and the unique songs of the many wild native birds. Your guide will interpret the Fauna and Flora encountered, Aboriginal history and demonstrate the Didgeridoo.
Travel on to Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens & restaurant for lunch and a glass of wine. Surrounded by high altitude cool climate Botanic Gardens with its gorgeous flowers, shrubs and trees, Restaurant Tomah sits perched on a ridge overlooking a seemingly endless vista stretching as far as the Hunter Valley and chaperoned by the Blue Mountains themselves. Mt Tomah itself is on the Bells Line of Road, the quiet side of the Blue Mountains, less than 1.5hrs from Sydney. In an area of World Heritage Wilderness, surrounded by orchards, it is a perfect place to quietly refresh body and spirit.
After lunch, soak up magnificent views of Govetts Leap lookout Australia’s version of the Grand Canyon, The Jamieson Valley and Three Sisters famous rock formation reveal panoramic views over this large Canyon wilderness., The Scenic Railway is considered the steepest incline Railway in the world and it will transport you to the floor of the Jamieson Valley. Your short walk will reveal a Jurassic Park like environment, amongst sub tropical rainforest (scenic railway rides are optional at own cost)
Our last stop is the Sydney Olympic Park and an optional Rivercat ride back to Sydney Harbour. Your Rivercat boat cruise reveals Sydney’s exclusive waterfront real estate, bridges and Sydney Harbor, your tour terminates in the rocks at Circular Quay.
